Common Causes of Acne Acne can arise from several factors, often combining to exacerbate the condition:

  • Teenage Hormonal Changes: Adolescence often triggers increased oil production and acne.
  • Dandruff: Can contribute to acne flare-ups, especially around the hairline.
  • Hormonal Imbalances: Fluctuations in hormones, such as during menstruation or pregnancy.
  • Diet: Certain foods can trigger or worsen acne.
  • Stress and Lifestyle: High stress levels and poor lifestyle choices can impact skin health.

WHAT IS ACNE PRONE/ OILY SKIN?

Do you feel the need to wash or wipe your face repeatedly?
Do you notice that nose, forehead, cheeks look shinier as if they have a film of oil on them?
Do you notice red, or white, painful or painless bumps appearing every now and then on your face, back or arms?
Do you feel your scalp and hair becomes greasy and needs to be washed more than twice a week?
Then you have an oily / acne prone skin.

WHY MUST YOU TREAT YOUR OILY SKIN?

Everybody goes through a phase during their teenage years where they notice acne/ pimples. People with oily/ acne prone skin notice that these do not resolve with time and may extend into their twenties or even thirties.
Such pimples/ acne leave behind marks and scars which may take much longer to treat.
Acne marks and scars have a detrimental effect on your confidence in daily life.
To combat this problem at its earliest stage is why acne must be treated and oily skin must be managed at the earliest.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT WAYS OF TREATING/ MANAGING ACNE PRONE/ OILY SKIN?

Acne when in its active stage needs to be managed with medication which will help in controlling the ongoing infection, excess oil production and stabilize any hormonal imbalance.
Chemical peels and LASERS maybe added to your treatment plan to achieve faster results and to reduce your burden of having to consume tablets and apply medications for a long period of time.
After an initial course of medications to curb the ongoing infection and severity of acne you may be transferred onto a treatment plan consisting of chemical peels, light therapies and LASERS.

Ferulac peel

Step 1: Skin is cleansed under aseptic precautions.
Step 2: 2-3 layers of Ferulac Peel Classic is applied and massaged for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: 2 layers of Ferulac Peel Plus are applied and massaged.
Step 4: 1 layer of Ferulac Peel Nano Additive mist is massaged.
Step 5: Treatment is sealed with Retises Nanopeel 1% gel and is to be left on your skin for 4-10 hours.
This treatment is an intensive treatment which causes a drastic reduction in oiliness and pigmentation.
It shows great results in photoaged skin and in acne prone skin with acne marks.

Light therapy

Step 1: Skin polishing is done with a tip covered in diamond crystals to remove dead skin, pollutants, toxins to increase skin permeability for step 2
Step 2: Blue LED light mask is applied on your face which works on the deeper layers of the skin diminishing the population of acne causing bacteria and removal of toxins by promoting increased blood flow.
Step 3: a hydrating, skin lightening and soothing face mask is applied thereafter.
This therapy may be combined with other treatments for a faster and increased result.

Step 2: An Oxygen-jet treatment to flood the skin with antioxidant infused oxygen to increase hydration and to increase the blood circulation
Step 3: A rehydrating and pore tightening glow mask is applied thereafter
